Witches and Wine

An annual wine sampling at Downtown Liberty for all adults

As you’re walking down a concrete path outside, you can hear faint cackling in the distance. Is it a ghost? A werewolf? Or maybe it’s a few witches looking for some fun around the corner… A wine crawl around Historic Downtown Liberty is what you’re hearing. For the 4th annual year, more than 25 shops and boutiques participated in all the whimsical, witchy fun that happens in October.

“It’s always fun, we have a blast, and that’s why we keep coming back! We love to spend time together and just go to support our community.” Christina, a 4th-year returning member, said.

On October 2, 2025 Witches’ Brew was hosted. This event sold out this year and always happens on the first Thursday of October. From 5:00-9:00, you’re able to dress up and sample wines from all over the square. After you buy the tickets online prior, you’re able to get a sampling glass after signing in, an event wristband to show you paid, and a map that shows you all the special stops available. While you’re tasting, some stores give out free goodies and have discounts, and of course, you’re able to shop around while you drink.

“It’s always fun. I love the costumes, and people just really go all out.
This is my very first time, so. I’m just looking forward to getting my cup filled for the experience.” Tanya, a first-year member, said.

This is a great socializing event for adults, especially if you love going all out for Halloween. And next year, make sure to purchase your tickets and join the fun.
