Love Yourself, Buy the Outfit

Angie Roeder shares her experience with opening a women’s clothing store

A store filled with all things classy, comfy, cute, and casual. Colorful clothes fill the room, with jewelry stacked on top of counters. This small shop has a world full of different designs and the perfect outfits for every occasion. Meet STYLE HOUSE Boutique, from what started as an online presence, now blossomed into an in-person and lively store. Owned and run by Angie Roeder.

For as long as she could remember, Roeder has always had a thing for all things girly: the ambience being soft sweaters, layered jewelry, and the perfect pair of jeans for anyone. Beyond just being clothes, they were outfits to make you confident and feel yourself in everyday life.

“I just feel like if you love it and have a passion for it and you want to do it, you have to go for it,” Roeder said.

STYLE HOUSE Boutique hadn’t always started as a business downtown by the square. Instead, Roeder started from the bottom and worked her way up to where she is now. Nine years ago, she took a chance and started selling her own clothes online, and soon, that same dream grew on wheels-literally. Angie then launched a fashion truck, bringing her style to all women across town, right before COVID changed everything. And as malls began to close and places started to empty, Roeder saw it as an opportunity to create a warm, personal store—something inviting. And once she had seen the lockdown lifted, she took that as an opportunity to expand her store into downtown Liberty and build her business from there.

“I really loved the community and just wanted to be a part of that,” Roder said.

And throughout it all, Roeder’s biggest supporter has been her husband Eric, cheering her on and being beside her through every bold and big decision. So what started as a love for clothes became an actual job and reality for Roeder. Proving that when some doors close, others open in unexpected and beautiful ways. So love yourself, buy the outfit.
