Leafing a Tradition

Leafing a Tradition

A short story of Liberty’s Fall Festival this September

Hundreds were gathered on the morning of September 27, 2025. Leaves danced across Main Street as the first notes of different high school marching bands echoed throughout the crisp air. Trucks and floats start strolling out, all different kinds of attractions, and people are promoting and showcasing what their riding and walking for. Families and friends lined the sidewalks, and the smiling faces of local children tossed candy amongst the crowd.

By noon, the streets are filled and lively. With so many colors and vendors on every road and corner.  From handcrafted jewelry to the smell of funnel cake and all things fried, the laughter of kids blended into the sounds of live music in the background.

As night fell, the carnival lights colored the area, rides spun, and the Ferris wheel looked as big as ever. The air is now cool, with a slight breeze. This year, Liberty Fall Festival celebrated 48 years of tradition and family fun. All ages can come together to cheer on the parade, look at vendors, eat, go on rides, and shop. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, and this has really blossomed into a huge community event over the years that we are proud to represent.
